During his speech entitled “Greek Retail – A new product, a new challenge”, Mr. Lefteris Tassoulas, Commercialization Manager of LAMDA Estate Development, emphasized that “Mediterranean Cosmos is a unique project of its kind and we believe that it will become a “jewel” for Northern Greece. The retail market in our country requires this new commercial “product” and we have recognized this need by investing and offering it first. Furthermore, we believe that the current period is suitable for investments which will contribute significantly to enabling the retail business overcome the present recession and for Greek consumers to enjoy what consumers in most of the world's other countries are enjoying”. Mr. Tassoulas continued: “Experience gained from the other countries show that shopping and leisure centers promote and upgrade the existing markets and under no circumstances do they create problems. This is what we believe will happen in our country”.

Respectively, Dr. Maria Filipe Vaz Pinto, Manager of Legal Department Sonae Imobiliaria, stated: “Mediterranean Cosmos is the first and largest shopping and leisure Centre in Northern Greece in which we will apply our international knowledge of managing a successful shopping and entertainment center. A shopping center works as a whole, where each shop depends on the other ones, as the offer to the consumer is perceived as a global one. Our type of contract is a solid base for a successful shopping center and helps the tenant to achieve better results”.
